Gelaran ajang penghargaan Academy Awards atau Piala Oscar 2020 akan dilaksanakan dalam waktu dekat. Acara ke-92 ini nantinya akan diisi oleh 24 kategori yang akan diperebutkan oleh banyak insan perfilman dunia.
Nominasi terbanyak dipegang oleh Joker dengan 11 nominasi. Diikuti oleh The Irishman, Once Upon a Time in … Hollywood, dan 1917 dengan masing-masing 10 nominasi.
Sementara film-film jagoan lainnya seperti Jojo Rabbit, Little Women, Marriage Story, dan “kuda hitam” dari Korea Selatan, Parasite, mendapatkan enam nominasi. Sementara Ford vs Ferrari mendapatkan empat.
Sementara film-film yang banyak dijagokan orang seperti Hustlers, The Farewell, dan Uncut Gems tidak mendapatkan nominasi sama sekali.
